The LA
Kings are even right now playing game one of the Stanley Cup in New Jersey
facing the NY Devils. Kings vs Devils -
-what more of a contest can you have? I
learned at four that KTLK was carrying the game on the radio and it seems NBC
has the game on regular TV, and I’ll be watching most of the game. Of course there are “fair weather fans” and
of course the weather has been nice today.
(ha ha) It seems that Lakers fans
are switching over to being Kings fans and all of the sports outlets are now
switching to Kings parafanalia. Of
course as you know I had grown tired of the LA Lakers years ago, because the
team has been hyped on TV on a virtual round the calendar basic. But I’m all set to rout for the Kings. Those of you who left your federation
membership card may want to discreetly skip the rest of this first
paragraph. Mal Evans is more revved up
over the series than any time since the last time the LA Kings were in the
Stanley Cup championship in 1993, I guess, and is doing everything he can to
get the Federation as a whole revved up and maybe we got a few tricks up our
sleeve to help the Kings win their games.
I’ll lave a lot more to either brag about or not brag about
tomorrow. But I guess the Devils have
home rink advantage. By the way my own
personal “devil” who has been visiting me since the summer of 2004, has also
been fired by Mal Evans. It seems that
whole bit with the thirteen year old female Romulan agent got him into
trouble. This guy is notable for doing “trash
pieces” on people, and it seems Mal Evans had finally had enough of that.
We had
good baked chicken tonight, and also sliced and otherwise ungarnished potatoes
that desperately needed salt, and those yukky peas and carrots. Dora made it all the way around the room with
seconds on the chicken. We had “Stephen
King” ice cream for dessert, otherwise known as strawberry ice cream. There was an “All in the Family” episode
where Mike was talking about how the Catholic Church has modernized the mass
and somewhere along the way Edith chimes in with “They’re using strawberry ice
cream now?” Heck, if they used
strawberry ice cream I’d go to communion more often. After this I made a coffee deal with Richard
Moore while I still had the collateral to do it. Richard gave me four cigarettes for a fairly
large cup of coffee and it’s freshly brewed.
Afterward Richard took the time to complement me on the quality of the
coffee. I told him my brother got it
from Cosco in the bright green bag, but I’ve thrown the bag away now and don’t
remember the brand. There was a radio
thing on some young woman launching a carrier as a journalist with a cell phone
for Video camera. So is it really true
that people don’t use stand alone cameras any more? To me that sounds crazy. In terms of our posting photo - - I guess I
award this one “first prize” by last night’s batch.
The state senate is now making it illegal to provide sexual conversion therapy for your child, if you're a concerned adult. This one's right up there in my oppinion with Jehovah's Witnesses banning blood transfusions for diabetics. It's a needed "medical procedure' in my oppinion for a specific dysfunctional condition. It is just another way in which Statists are taking away parent's sovreignty over how they raise their own families. Clearly from everything I know- - gays weren't "born that way" but hit some some sort of "crisis' in life, where they abandoned normal relations with the opposite sex due to some mental abberation or personal conflict, which was never resolved. In my oppinion, Samantha Brady has a perfect right to feel a sense of shame and guilt for her son, that somehow she had shorcomings as a mother for failure to see this problem and head it off.
They are now talking about this X ray telescope that features photographs a hundred times sharper than anything else we've seen from a telescope, if I heard right. You know- - scientists must be learning a lot from all these instruments. I wish they would share that information with us.
This is
Wednesday May 30, 2012 at 3:30. I’m just
running through the coffee grounds again.
I think the coffee is going to last through three more cycles till at
least Friday morning. I had the Ed
Schultz show on KPOJ on till the early commercial break before eleven. I went out for a smoke and then went down
early to look at the new videos on the screen of some activity in the dining
room, which I can’t place. Vince must be
using an improved, sharper camera now.
We had better mushroom soup and good sloppy Joes with more of a barbecue
flavor, and potato chips with generous cantaloupe for desert. I got a second single bun sloppy Joe. I had the last fifteen minutes of that Latino
guy on KTLK and the first long segment of Randy Rhodes. Then I put on the Rush CD “Test for Echo”,
which is both the latest CD recording I have and the last CD I ever bought in
May of 1999. I played tracks 1, 2, 3, 5,
and 7, which is “Dog Days’. I sampled
six but didn’t like it. I might have
played later ones only I thought I heard someone being called to the downstairs
phone and wondered if it was me. I spent
the next ten minutes putting away the laundry.
Everything was there. In soap
land Will Horton has lost his job and has to give up his car and his nice
apartment. Apologies are just too late,
and you really can’t blame E J. Lexi
found out from Abraham talking to Stephano about the gas in the tunnels, which
is responsible for her cancer. She asked
Abraham, “How long have you known?”
Daniel came in on Nicole trying to switch the labels on the DNA samples,
and we’re left hanging.
Randy
Rhodes had a thing on Sheldon Addelson, who is this Jewish guy who says he is
ashamed to wear a US military uniform and wanted to wear the Israeli
uniform. Sheldon has made any number of
inflamitory political statements and contributed to every manner of right wing
organization and tea party political candidate in 2012. Now Randy is saying that Mitt Romney is
stupid for wanting Trump’s help with the “long hanging fruit” because those dingbats
are never going to vote for the President anyhow with their birther
beliefs. Donald Trump is smarter than
Mitt Romney and is using Romney because he has no license for his casino in his
hotel, so his may be the only Hotel tower that lacks a casino. Amazing!
But I don’t think that Sheldon is the one for that, but Sheldon has a
lot of money. That’s for sure. Now David Cruise is saying how much more
confident and strident that Romney is now since he’s been around Donald Trump
rubbing elbows with the “really big money”.
Below is a thing I pasted in. I
was thinking of somehow using it in a post. And I'm going to use it but I'm pruning it way back, as I also pruned the thing back when I originally pasted it in Word.

Originally a Democrat, Adelson
became a Republican as his wealth increased. "Why is it fair that I should
be paying a higher percentage of taxes than anyone else?" he once asked.
He began making major contributions to the Republican
National Committee following clashes with labor unions at his Las Vegas properties.[7] Despite
the fact that no one's net worth has increased more since Obama's inauguration
in January 2009 ($21.6 billion)[14], Adelson has heavily criticized the Obama administration
saying “What scares me is the continuation of the socialist-style
economy we’ve been experiencing for almost four years. That scares me because
the redistribution of
wealth is the path to more socialism, and to more of the government
controlling people’s lives. What scares me is the lack of accountability that
people would prefer to experience, just let the government take care of
everything."[15]
For the 2012
United States presidential election, Adelson has said he will
"fully support" the Republican nominee, Mitt Romney. On January 7, 2012, Adelson bolstered
Gingrich's then faltering campaign with a $5 million donation to the
pro-Gingrich super PAC Winning Our Future.[29] By the next day, the PAC had reserved
more than $3.4 million in advertising time in South Carolina,
which included production and distribution of a half-hour movie that portrayed
Gingrich's political rival Mitt Romney as a
"predatory corporate raider". On January 23, Adelson's wife, Miriam,
contributed an additional $5 million to the same organization with instructions
to use it to advance a "pro-Newt message". Adelson told Forbes that he was willing to
donate as much as $100 million to Gingrich. In the 2012 election cycle, he has
also donated $2.5 million to the right-leaning Super Pac,
Congressional Leadership Fund. He also
donated over $60,000 to the Republican
National Committee. Politicians he has donated to since January 2011
include U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), U.S. House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV), U.S. Congressman Mark Amodei (R-NV), U.S. Congressman Joe Heck (R-NV), and former Florida House Speaker Adam Hasner. Noting the media scrutiny his
political donations have received, Adelson has asked why the political
contributions of labor unions
have not received comparable attention, noting that unions spend
worker-provided money while his donations come out of his own pocket and are
smaller.

As you may
remember in the final scene of “Oh God”, George Burnes says he’s going to
Africa to spend more time with the wild animals because “I haven’t spent enough
time with them lately”. It’s kind of a
touching scene and a reminder that ‘animals are people too” so to speak, with
lives and feelings of their own. We now
come to that Mountain Lion shooting by the Santa Monica PD last week in a story
that “slipped through the net” and I don’t think I mentioned on line. Apparently the lion had wandered on to city
street and was confronted by the Police and was bewildered and looking for a
way of escape, like Trayvon Martin. And
of course the Police do what they do best which is shoot first and ask questions
later. Now the animal rights people, rightly
in my opinion, are protesting the mountain lion kill. They say that the PD should have a policy to
bring in animal experts when confronted with such a situation. We must remember that – not to draw any
Chicano analogies or anything - - it is we who are encroaching on their territory
with our increased urbanization, and we ought to “put things in perspective.
