Pilate: Talk to me Jesus Christ. You have been brought here. Manacled, beaten - by your Own People. Do you have the first idea why you deserve it. Listen, King of the Jews - - where is your Kingdom?
Jesus: I have got no kingdom in this World, I'm through - - through - - through
Pilate: Where are you from. What do you want - - Tell Me
Pilate: How can you not speak when I hold your life in my hands?
Jesus: You have nothing in your hands. Any power you have comes to you from Far Beyond
Pilate: So you're a King
Jesus: It's you that says I am. I look for Truth - - and find that I get Damned
Pilate: But is Truth? Is Truth unchanging Law. We both have Truths. Are mind the same as yours?
"You know what your supporters feel - - you'll escape in the final reel"

You know when I was listening to Neil give his little speech this morning on KFI I had a little Deja Vu of that one song of mind- - Hattie Carol. The one where the Judge sits up there and pounds his gavvle and talks about how this Court is not biased, and that Justice has no top or bottom to it, just before letting a convicted murderer off with a six month sentense.
-Bob Dylan - (just maybe)
Just Gimme Some Truth. Half the Beatles- with George Harrison recognizable on lead guitar on that song. As you know "Truth" is my all time favorite post Beatle Lennon song and Chris Carter just played it on all request Sunday. I'd like to thank Chris for reading my little posting of the other day. At first I thought he was dropping a hint- the one about "Calling the shots" but I wasn't sure, but then he said the one about Ringo and THAT one was no coincidence. He's read my posting. And if Neil S wants consisency yes I'm well aware that Kurt played with Stu- - and myself on Sirius A in the summer of 1994. But "you can't mention everything- - every time" you know. But right now I'd like to lay a little outtake on you and for this one, source format is fine with me. I'm not going to explain it afterwards either. You'll just have to figure out this one for yourself. OK not THAT native. That's like that opening for the part of a Surgeon was applying for. "We want Ugly but we want Hollywood ugly and not Your kind of ugly. So - - we'll try and 'fix" it to make it presentable.
OK. We are having format problems. Should we remain in Italics? Today we are going to discuss a topic newly coined by me today called Exestential Hyperbolism. The last time I tried to coin it was a word I think it was “transportational arbitrage”, but that was a problem there of the word “arbitrage” has this connotation of “having your cake and eating it too” and in time it breaks down into “having either one of the other but not both”. The transportational arbitrage centered around the existential question of “Can you say that something is false because you yourself KNOW it to be false because you deliberately “set up” the experiment so that the real truth could not be proven? Think about it.
Then it was the Jesus Christ show. Today Neil wanted to tell us about Truth. I never got his motivation or inciting incident that stimulated the remark. Michael Benner always wants to know what ‘stimulates” people into responding the way they do. He talked about perception and circumstance but how Truth never changes. I don’t dispute this. Two and two is always four. The question is how relivant is that fact when you’re in a thunder storm and you’re sitting under a big tree in vain pursuit of shelter and it’s leaning over you and you hear this cracking sound in the trunk and you see the ground is getting soaked and roots are exposed. Your Truth at that moment is that you “get out of the way”. A big tree falling is only a blip on the news radar but for you it could be “It” if you don’t act. Truth is true, but “what you should do at any given moment” is entirely dependant on circumstance. If you’re in an old clay house and you are experiencing a 6.0 earthquake in Italy your “truth” at that moment is to get out of that house before the roof falls in on you. The Truth is that God doesn’t face the same perils in life that we earthlings do. So unless we can take a magic pill and become like God in all aspects, our immediate Truths are different from God’s. Of course when he does that “Are You Ready” raucus opening I’m thinking “You know- - if such pretention and show biz would degrade Thom Hartman as a person, what would it do for God? Neil admits his program is “radio theater” but Jesus of the Bible said that one thing he hated above all else was “hypocracy” of walking around wearing a mask to hide our true feelings all the time. Do you think Jesus Christ would really have flashing lights like a superbowl performance with cheer leaders jiggeling their boobs with Janet Jackson leading the pack, hopefully with no wardrobe malfunctions? You tell me.

We want to know “The Facts”
about Obama’s birth certificate. I was
just checking for witnesses who knew the Obama parents in Hawaii. I found none.
We did get the standard story from Wickipedia about how Obama’s father
came to be living in Hawaii to begin with.
Here is, if you will the Obama “birth story”, which probably has a whole
lot more reliability than the story about how Jesus of Nazareth was born. So why isn’t he referred to as Jesus of
Bethlehem since so much was made of his King David pedigree in Luke. Perhaps this is the first “fact” that Neil of
KFI might want to investigate. Breakfast
will be in a few minutes. It’s 6:57 now. I guess in the “transit” of Jesus’ soul from
Heaven to earth the “adopt destination formatting” option was taken by the Holy
Spirit - - in his insemination of The Word in Mary.
Obama was born on
August 4, 1961, at Kapiʻolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital (now Kapiʻolani Medical
Center for Women and Children) in Honolulu, Hawaii,[2][4][5] and
is the first President to have been born in Hawaii.[6] His
mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, was born in Wichita,
Kansas, and was of mostly English ancestry,[7] along
with Scottish, Irish, German, and Swiss.[8][9][10][11][12]His
father, Barack Obama, Sr., was a Luo from Nyang’oma Kogelo, Nyanza
Province, Kenya. Obama's parents met in 1960 in a Russian class
at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa,
where his father was a foreign student on scholarship.[13][14] The
couple married on February 2, 1961,[15] separated
when Obama Sr. went to Harvard University on scholarship, and divorced
in 1964.[13] Obama
Sr. remarried and returned to Kenya, visiting Barack in Hawaii only once, in
1971. He died in an automobile accident in 1982.[16] After her divorce, Dunham married Indonesian Lolo
Soetoro, who was attending college in Hawaii. When Suharto, a
military leader in Soetoro's home country, came to power in 1967, all
Indonesian students studying abroad were recalled, and the family moved to theMenteng neighborhood
of Jakarta.[4][17] From
ages six to ten, Obama attended local schools in Jakarta, including Besuki Public School and
St. Francis of Assisi School.[18]
I think a psychologist
listening to Neil’s little opening monolog this morning would pick up on the
insistence that “Some of us are just Better than others”. Chuck Smith speaks in the same vein when he
talks about God’s Chosen when he says “You know, if you’re God, you’re going to
pick a winner, aren’t you?” It sounds
good till you actually start to break down the logic in strict Calvinist
terms. I have resisted this whole notion
of Thom Hartman that Calvinism is “the justification of privilege and the privileged”. But he may be right. Personally I don’t think God cares. I think he gave about as much thought, as we
humans define the term, to creation is an artist throwing up Paint against the
wall and calling it “Inspiration”. Also
a psychologist would pick up on this claim that “Everybody in this post modern
world is trying to say that there are no winners and no losers in life”. I know of no one who says this. Now I myself have quoted the line from “Ramona”
by Dylan of “If you really believe (what you just said) you know you have
nothing to win and nothing to lose”.
Dylan said this because it was playing Devil’s advocate I believe, in
saying “No pastor is EVER going to say that YOU are equal to them. Their tongue would fall out first”. That’s the whole point of the song.
