REALITY SHAPE SHIFTERS

A lot of times you wake up and you find reality isn’t what you thought it was or is. Al Frankin was just recounting a Bill O Riley speech last night. He said that if the US pulled out of Iraq it would plunge the nation into an all-out civil war with the Shiites now in power on one side and Saddam supporting insurgents and Al Kaida on the other. I didn’t know Al Kaida was pro Sunni because I thought they represented the religious extremes. Anyhow under this scenario- - the Al Kaida side would lose and leave to fight the United States in some other battle ground. (That’s supposed to be a bad thing) I suppose they’d go back to Afghanistan or some place. The victorious Shiites would then enter into an alliance with the Iranian Shiites, who would form some super power block. From there Iran would control Iraq and Iran would also be in a position to blackmail nations like China (?) by withdrawing their supplies of oil. The funny thing is that Al Frankin did little to refute anything in this argument, so there must be truth in it.

I guess there are a lot of Anne Coulter jokes going around, such as “Anne Coulter is the reason they invented feeding tubes”. (Is that an allusion to Terry Shibo?) Anne Coulter is the reason they invented ten foot poles”, “Anne Coulter is the reason they invented noise reduction headphones”, “Anne Coulter is the reason they invented the gag reflex”. You know, it would be easier to envision myself actually married to Anne Coulter than to be a member of certain Christian churches, considering what their pastors are like. This is what is known as argument from the lesser to the greater extreme.

A lot of people are debating about the shape of the Universe. Some people say it is like a shell, like a surface of a soap bubble. This is one of those analogies you have to take “on faith” because these people offer no way of using geometric logic to prove their point. Some Black Holes are drawn like a shallow golf course hold. They show some big grid of squares that slowly curves into a hole as it gets closer to the black hole. What is this supposed to represent? Of course many people such as in Star Trek talk about wormholes. These may lead either into another point in this universe, or more likely into another completely different universe. There are some who say the Universe is shaped like a donut. What this means is if you head out one way you go around in circles in a short path- - but if you head out ninety degrees the other way you go around a big circle instead of the small circle. There is a certain geometric logic to this one. There are some who say the universe is saddle shaped. I don’t know what that would mean. For those who believe in The Big Bang what they usually end up saying is that you can never reach the “edge” of the Universe, because you’ll begin going around in circles. In Star Trek they had this dog like god of “null space” where they put up a beacon and speeded away from it as fast as they could- - -only to see another approaching beacon up ahead, but it only turned out to be the same beacon. They were going in circles even though their instruments said they were going straight. This is what is known as space bending, and you see a lot of it with science writers. These people extend the analogy to time saying that if you go far enough into the future, you will end up back in the past. Kind of like the line “So very far away; maybe it’s only yesterday”. If the universe were circular, like the surface of a globe, it would be a simple thing to prove it with triangulation readings like the Greeks did using geometric logic. But of course they offer these “examples” more to trip you out than any motive of actual enlightenment. These same people take the parables of Jesus- - to make a limited point- - but when another like me tries to use what as known as expositional constancy- - in other words, inferential rational logic, to prove other points they don’t want made- - they will complain. One pastor had a good analogy one day and I don’t think he knew it. There was once a donut shop owner on a street corner and he painted his shop red white and blue and put out a sign “The best donuts in America”. Another owner across the street tried to better him saying “The best donuts in the World”. A third guy looking at these two decided he’d get far out with a real inter-galactic Space theme, with the slogan “The Best Donuts in the Universe”. The owner of the fourth remaining corner simply decided to put on his sign “The Best Donuts on this Street”. There is a simple point to this story. Sometimes the Immediate is of more importance than for out abstractions. But I don’t think the Pastor even knew about the implications would be about God. Under what conditions is your god “The Best”?

We titled one of our prior blogs “Cosmic Tides”. Martin Luther King once spoke in a movie about him of “Zeitguist” or “spirit of the times”. Some people may say it’s easier to tell wave from waves than it is to tell where “the wave leaves off and the water begins”. Very true. You and I know that many times Events sweep over our society like waves. On recording tape magnetic patterns are formed that when played back in the proper manner produce sounds. And yet if you take at each individual magnetic “orbit” whether or not it is aligned with ten thousand others doesn’t seem significant. You just look at the electrons and say “seems normal to me”. A lot of time you can have many people just happening to think of the same event or idea at once. Yet if you examine each case you may well find “I see no miracle here; this looks normal”. It’s no miracle to have a coin turn up once heads as called. But that very same act, if it’s occurring for the hundred and first time, is called unusual. This is what we mean by zeitgeist.

The Romulans have something called “The middle voice”, which is sort of akin to the reflexive here in English. We speak of doing something for ourselves. But this “voice” if used in Ronulan lands freaks people out because the “mode” or “voice” is associated with Oracles and witchery. Most people take the Marcionite view of creation. That is that creating the Universe is a horrible mistake and that all matter is by its very nature, evil. It’s probably the same people who say dating the Opposite Sex is evil, because it’s a “gateway activity” that could lead to Sex. Creation and most everything about it is seen as a perversion at best, of what God’s will is. As such there is no such possibility that “God” could be represented in anything or any part of The Big Bang. However for certain people they say that since everything leads back to The Big Bang, there is a little bit of “God” in everything. Many people criticize even White witches who are into “earth religion” as just as evil as those who invoke Satan, because like we say, they believe created matter is Evil. For those who use the “middle voice” words and things are believed to be simultaneous happenings. Words are things. If you back a Christian up against the wall, he will admit that the Hebrews definition of Faith states that faith is the “substance of things hoped for”. In other words, saying it makes it so. It could be that certain people are so psychically plugged into sixth dimensional reality that they actually see Words as Things. People in the Orion Federation see their Universe as a theater of war, somewhat like a giant chessboard. People like Obey Wan Canobe can be on one side, and the forces of Darth Vador can be on the other. Some see events on earth as a reflection of some sixth dimensional chessboard. Few things are that cut and dry. Some people see the uttering of Words over a situation as Hexing or Charming a situation because the hex or charm sets up these Cosmic Waves that influences reality. Well, to put it simply, most people don’t have that much “Faith”, and I used the term advisedly. People who are in psychic balance with their engrams under control can usually defeat a Hex. But there are those exceptions where hexes hold true.
