Moderation In Pursuit Of Justice - - - Is No Virtue

A long time ago Barry Goldwater said, “Moderation in pursuit of justice is no virtue”, and yet all this President is- at best- is milk toast moderate right down the line.  But his speech today on race was ill advised because it accomplished two things and both of them are bad.  He further inflamed the right wing tea baggers who are looking for any cause no matter how obscure to comdemn this president.  If they can’t get him on being Born in Kenya or a secret Moslem, or someone who is “going to conthiscate our guns after the election of 2012- - then they’ll get him on being a Black racist.  They are still chafing over that other case the president comented on where he said that “Those cops acted stupidly”.  Now he’s weighing on this Sanford case which try as we might- - just won’t go away.  He will admit to having problems with Whites 35 years ago but he will not achnoledge that he’s having problems with those same Whites today – and in the past election and with that awful “2016” movie.  He has been the target of more personal below the belt invective- - than any President I can imagine.  Randy Rhodes is going further and unsubscribing from all the left wing- - web sites she claims are not taking a stand on this issue.  Let me tell you a little story to make my point.  (Oh didn’t you know, I’m really the secret son of Ward Cleaver)  Picture some farmers in Topeka, Kansas and they have had a drought that has lasted for months and months and all their crops are languishing.  Now picture the local minor league baseball team- - the Isotopes- - is having a big home game tonight but they are predicting a 50 -50 chance of rain.  Of course the baseball fans don’t want the game to be rained out, but the farmers would love it if it would rain steady for a solid two or three days.   Well the game comes and it commences only to be interrupted by a steady rain that won’t let up as fans star forlornly at darkened skies.  After over an hour in exasperation they announce that the game has been rained out and pick up your rain checks.  But lo and behold about 45 minutes after this- - as a few stragglers are still going to their cars in the lot or whatever- - the storm dissipates.  The sky is lighter and the rain slows and then stops.  And it never rains again.  This is truly what you call the worst of both worlds because there wasn’t enough rain to really help the crops, and yet the big game got washed out.   Randy Rhodes pointed out that if the President really wanted to make a “real statement” He could pardon that Merisa Alexander or whoever fired the bullet into the ceiling.  And I was wrong before.  She retreated into the garage but the garage door was locked and the only way out was back the way she came.  And yet the Judge in the case ruled that Merissa “wasn’t afraid when she fired the gun”.  Let me put it this way.  She was probably a heck of a lot less afraid one minute after she fired off the gun and her husband retreated- - than she was fifteen seconds before she fired the gun and feared for her life.  The President could pardon her- - which I didn’t know a President could do - - only a state governor, and we know Gov Rick Scott is never going to do that.  The President could have stepped up to the plate and said that we were going to as a nation bail out Detroit, the same way New York was bailed out in 1976.   As you know back in April of 1976 (my last month of freedom – so to speak) the Rolling Stones put out ‘Hot Stuff”, which referred to the city of New York.  I kind of remember a headline “Ford to New York – Drop Dead” but then there was such a public outcry- - that the federal government did indeed bail out New York and they became solvent.  So one could say that the blood of Detroit is on the president’s hands.  Christian preachers would tell you that the blood of the crucifixion of Christ is on our hands if we are unsaved.  Frankly I’m puzzled by that because I thought being anointed with “the blood” was a good thing- - that is- - unless it’s a Jew or something.  The thing is- - people like Paul say “The President is good at making speeches.  That’s all he’s good at”.   I must disagree.  The President is NOT a good speech maker because if he were – more people would listen to him.  It’s like people who say that I am really intelligent.  No I’m not.  Because if I were really that smart I couldn’t allow myself to be jerked around by certain people.  One time I told Pastor Westfall “People have said that I’m a good communicator” and the Pastor responded - - “Well, those people are lying to you”.  (Selah)

In the song “Masters of War” Bob Dylan sings, “You done hurled the worst fear – that could ever be hurled - - Fear to bring children – into the world”.  Well I am under such a fear now because I have been so utterly disillusioned by Calvary Christianity I am plum afraid to ask my own brother point blank what he thinks about the Zimmerman case- - because I’m afraid of how he’d answer, especially when his wife is a clone of juror B 37.  You know Born Again Christianity has accepted all kinds.  They have accepted Puerto Rican gang leaders- - and abusers of government power like Charles Colson - - and people involved in White Collar crime- - and even outright murderers such as Ted Bundy.  But if Born Again Christianity ready to go to the mat for a - - - Child Molester?  You heard right.  George Zimmerman is a child molester- - and I owe this little story to Randy Rhodes, who obviously spends a lot of time on the internet researching this stuff so I don’t have to.   My function is more of a “signal repeater”.  It seems as if “Witness number Nine” as she is called- - is a younger cousin of George Zimmerman, and he molester her continually from the time she was six to the time she was twenty.  And afterward one time her parents confronted him about this.  George walked in and said “I’m sorry I did it” in his expressionless voice and demeanor- - and then walked out.  The story is fascinating.  At first she called the police within a day of the attack telling the Sanford authorities that George was a thoroughly creepy guy- - and when she heard it was a Black man who was killed she knew it was George because George’s whole family is racist- - and George himself “Has a lot of loose acquaintences and is generally regarded by people as a real weirdo”.   In the interests of full disclosure- - my own brother used very much like this to describe Me - - in that originally secret “National Enquiror” type letter to Dr Wong in late April of 1999.  Nobody would want to have a label like that hung on them.  But several weeks later she summoned up the courage to go in person and be deposed by the local Police Department on tape.  This tape recording, along with another tape recording of Zimmerman’s prison phone calls to his wife concerning the matter of the money fraud- - these tapes were about to be made public by judge Ken Lester.  Apparently there was some public disclosure law that said they could be.  But this judge was taken off the case and the current lady judge was put in.  And the Prosecution never called witness Nine to the stand because her testimony would be “too detrimental to the defense’ case”.   On the other hand the judge let in a lady witness who claims how Zimmerman was such a kind person who put on all new locks on her apartment after some black crime- - and called back twenty times to make sure she was all right”.   But it gets better.  The Prosecution was going to put on two rebuttal witnesses before they “called the rebuttal off”.  One witness was an officer in 2005 who could give evidence of Zimmerman’s violence to law enforcement.  The other witness was a guy named David Lee (no relation).  This is the witness who talked with witness number Nine.  But there is more.  As you know when the police arrived on the scene they didn’t follow normal protocol at all.  Remember when David Cruise said in that promotion spot that “George Zimmerman stood over the dead body for between one and ten minutes?”  And I have a feeling it was a lot closer to one minute than ten.  He then added “He cleaned off his pants”.  Did Zimmerman tell the cops this?  And did he say this if they had wondered why he had no grass stains on his pants and yet claims to have been pinned on the ground?  Of course grass stains don’t come off this easily.  But did anyone even call an ambulance for Martin in any timely manner or wait for valuable minutes to elapse?  I’m just wondering.  And by the way - - since the concealed carry law has been enacted - - in states that have it- - crime of this nature had tripled.  So never let it be said that “guns prevent crime”.  They clearly cause it.  Then we have Charles from Los Angeles.  Charles has been a regular fixture of call in shows in Los Angeles for decades and he us usually articulate and well spoken.  Some people may think that I am “Charles from Los Angeles” but I am not.  I wish I had his public exposure record.  He said there was a web site I’m sure anybody could Google (I haven’t yet) where it states that Zimmerman hit himself over the head with his own gun just after the murder- - and “looked all around nervously to see if anyone saw him”.  They claim forensic evidence shows that the markings on his head match up perfectly with certain traits of the gun.  This is something else for Eric Holder to investigate.  I would close with just this little thought.  Apparently people like Larry Elder and Pat Buchannon, the so called “intellectual minds of the right” are now in high praise of this Verdict.  But is either one really prepared to brag about the moral virtue of a child molester- - which is just what Rachael Jantel thought that Zimmerman was to begin with.  I just don’t see how either the racially up-tight Buchannon crowd or the Holy Rollers can countenance a child molester in their ranks.   The way I see it- - that takes this whole controversy to a whole other level.  These tea party people really are clinging to power by their fingernails.
