There is still no news of the birth of the next Royal heir in England.  He or she would be third in line to the throne after Prince Charles and Prince William.  Bill Handel said jokingly that “Prince Charles will die of old age before he ever gets to be King”.   We are told that Queen Elizabeth will not be awakened if the baby is born at night.  That’s carrying Royal protocol a little far.  I guess old people’s sleep is so light, so I’ve heard, that you dare not let anything disturb it once it comes.  There was talk about a hospital ‘Suite” being on the forth floor of a building that ordinarily would go for 1,500 but in America the same “suite” would go for ten times that much.  And no I didn’t know that they have Wi Fi and internet and cable and all of this stuff routinely in hospital rooms.  But there was something about “the trip to the hospital is just over seven miles and it’s a 25 minute drive”.  Am I to infer that the motorcade carrying Kate would never exceed twenty miles per hour?  They did say something about a flashing green light on top.  Interestingly Dianna is not even under consideration as one of the names, if the baby is a girl.  I guess Dianna is still considered too “controversial” because of HER conduct or something, even in death.  By the way Barbra and Pamala aren’t exactly the hippest of girls names even by 1995 standards.  Pamala was common when I was in school but you don’t meet many Pamalas today.  And almost nobody was named Barbra even when I was in school.  Both of those girls names are more representative of my parents’ generation.  Yes, Kate is late - - but this is to be expected for a first born.  They gave up circumcision long ago and I hear that not even William and Harry were circumcised.  This is despite the term “Brit” in British, directly referring to the Yiddish word “briss”.  Under the old law daughters would be in line for the Throne directly all of her male siblings had either died or were disqualified or something.  It’s only when all of the children are exhausted that the succession would then fall on Harry, the brother.  Speaking of girls named Dianne- - there was that Dianne who was mistakenly murdered in the movie “Laura”.  Laura’s jealous boyfriend burst into Laura’s apartment guns blazing- - and Dianne started to come to the door but it was dark inside because Dianna had snuck in there uninvited for one sneaky thing or another- - and the next thing you know she was dead.

When it comes to race relations “We still have a long way to go” to quote the AC song.  It seems that in cases where a White man shoots a Black man- - the case is ruled “justifyable homicide” thirty percent of the time on average in the US, but in “stand your ground’ states that figure rises to 35%.  Meanwhile in a similar situation where the shooter is Black and the victim is White- - it’s only about three percent in both kinds of states.  This is telling.  But the mere explosion of conceiled gun permits is alarming.  They have doubled in the past five years, since Obama has been President.  Right now in Florida alone they say there are one million people with cinceiled carry permids. This I find very alarming.  Many would say that “It’s not about race” and on Bill Handel it was said “It’s OK to talk about Profiling but not Racial profiling” as if to prove some “color blind’ point.  But the crew of BH then went on to say that profiling was OK and cops have to do it all the time in their jobs.  So alas it IS racial profiling we are talking about and not profiling in a generic sense.  Hence the state was wrong to exclude the word “racial”.  But then people like Larry Elder go on to mention- - and this bothered Moe Kelly and he pointed it out - - that “Because of all the Black on Black murders over the weekend in the city of Chicago- - this justifies the apparent paranoia that White man may feel twords Black teenagers.  So we have a doctrine of “unreasonable fear justified killings”.  But the thing is another caller said he was insulted because “Blacks know how to walk and chew gum at the same time”.  Black on Black killings are a definite blight on the race in Urban areas.  They pointed out that a lot of it is drug crime – violence in obtaining drugs.  But when White people get strung out and need a fix, they can go to an expensive rehab clinic that isn’t available to poor Blacks.  Also the idea of Black fathers being absent from the family is due in substantial part to the system putting them in prison.  I find the percentage of incarserated Black men alarming.  Keep in mind that a hundred and fifty years ago it was the Irish and NOT the black race that had the reputation for drunken brawling and running out on their wives and kids, much more than the Blacks.  So obviously we have a problem. There’s no doubt about this.  But the two have about as much to do with each other as apples and rubarb.  Both problems exist independently of each other.  How many have had parents that were balling them out for something they know they did wrong, but then the kid goes “Well you should hear what Susie did yesterday”.  And the parent says, “We’re not talking about Susie; we’re talking about you right now”.  This is a basic “Leave it to Beaver” type lesson in personal responsibility that Larry Elder apparently never learned.  I found Larry Elder’s performance on that program the other night Pierce Morgan is says in my notes.  You’ll have to excuse me - - I don’t get around much these days.  The guy has an eloquent accent and is very articulate.  Larry Elder was going off on a major rant about Black on Black crime- - and then lit into Rachael Jantel- - calling her ignorant and disgusting and a lot of other terms.  And the host asks Larry “Are you tri-lingual” and Larry dodges the question.  Then the host asks directly “Are you aware of Rachael Jantel’s education level”.  The question is of paramount importance since Larry brought the topic up himself.  Larry would not answer this question to save his life.   We need a lot more dialog and a lot less ranting.

However I still am bothered by people, including even Jimmy Carter apparently, who say “The jury gave a proper verdict”.  There is a profound case of lack of proper jurisprudence in this case and it involves the instructions to the jury.  I’ve heard the Judge never even mentioned the “first offender” doctrine in determining grounds for Self Defense.  If you leave off a vital instruction like this - - that “first offender” is relevant, obviously you’re going to get a skewed result.  This is just another reason why the Justice Dept needs to review this case.  We have spent countless pages explaining why this is not so- - despite the horrible handling of the prosecution of the case.  Mike Papentonio said today that Sanford, Florida is the absolute worst place in Florida to try any case like this.  They are all very knee jerk and unthinking.  This raises the question of why a change venue wasn’t granted.  I’ve never even heard that a change in venue was requested.Bill Handel said the following “In murder cases- - the law does not care one whit about the state of mind or point of view of the victim, but only of the defendant”.  This isn’t even true and I’ll prove it.  If you pull a gun on an old man walking down the street intending to rob them of perhaps a hundred dollars, and the man is frightened and has a fatal heart attack right there on the sidewalk, you can be charged with his death, which is on your head.  In like manner if you are in a high speed police chase and because of the disruption that you caused- - that some accident was caused because someone swerved to avoid you, and hit another car or something- - you can be charged for any Deaths that result.  The thing is people run their mouths when they know better- - just like Bill Handel knows better.  Also Larry Elder knows damn well if you’re putting a rape victim on the stand- - you’re not going to lambast her on the stand if she doesn’t speak the Queen’s English in relating how the rape occurred.  Obviously any attorney worth his salt works with all sorts of obscure witnesses to build his case for his client.  But these people just spout this stuff as if by knee jerk reflex.  They spout these same tea party talking points.  If Larry is really that concerned about violence in Chicago maybe he should move there and work personally with those people.  But as for me- - I guess I’m getting sick and tired of people dissing the city of Chicago.  I have heard the city of Chicago spoken more of in disparaging terms the past five years than the whole rest of my life.  Lets return to the special prosecutor herself.  People laud her for her magnanamus attitude in bringing about this case.  I guess her name is Angela Corrie.  I did not know that Merisa Alexander was Black.  This is another - - case brought by Angela Corrie, we’ve learned.  I’ve alluded to this case before.  It’s the case where a woman was breaking up with her husband- - and her husband traps her in the bathroom and begins abusing her and she retreats to the living room and slaps her around even more in front of the kids.  She retreats to the garage.  But then she remembers she forgot her cell phone and returns to the house, but by now her estranged husband is even more Violent.  She now fears for her life.  It seems flipping through some papers he learns she’s serious about wanting to make a clean break from here and he can’t have that.  She becomes desperate and pulls out her gun and fires shots into the ceiling.  Now the husband is afraid and departs.  But he calls the cops and they come and arrest her, who says she’s invoking “stand your ground” but the authorities won’t let her, and they give her twenty years.  We are heading headlong into retrogression and a complete breakdown of civilization.  Rush Limbaugh now feels OK with using the word “Nigger” because a Black teenager called a stalker chasing him a “Nigger”.  At best Rush then is adopting the standards of immature ghetto teenagers, but he thinks it’s liberating.

By the way it bothers me that some like Bill Handel would say “OK I will allow the parents of Trayvon to get emotional and express their feelings.  But people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are scum bags who take advantage of the situation”.    In other words- - it’s OK for a woman to say “Don’t rape me” but if another man steps in and stops the rape from happening then he is some kind of a scum bag.  It’s like Syria.  You heard Judy’s remarks, “They are like a bunch of fighting dogs- - and have no morals anyhow so let them tear each other apart”.  Of course Joe Drisco says that more and more Russians are regarding Vladimir a dictator, and that the Putin administration is steeping up military expenditures way up- - to fight in places like Syria.  To use Bill Handel’s logic again, “It’s OK to complain about Iran’s threat to enrich uranium and develop the Bomb- - - but don’t dare let “scum bags’ like Israel step in and put an end to the situation by bombing the facility”.   Makes no sense.  Will then the relatives of Black Christians in Darfore be respected by their Moslem Butchers- - - as long as they are allowed to “starve to death in peace”?  Racism is becoming like the weather.  Everybody talks about racism but nobody does anything about it.  I guess a small part of me would like to know just what America would be like if the tea party and racist Right got everything they’ve been wishing for.  They claim “Oh we love the blacks and the young students in financial need”.  They say a lot of things in some sort of pie in the sky fashion.  But as I read the tea leaves- - I see a much darker vision of America if these people ever got Everything they want.  And it’s no secret that we are already a good portion of the way there.  Even when the Kings of Europe were assumed to have a “divine right” there was even with them some sense of “stewardship” over the people.  But stewardship is the last thing you’d expect with Mitt Romney or a Grover Norquist.

For just a splash of cosmic news to cool your day- - there are other rock groups that share the home planet of Bob Seeger and Bruce Springsteen.  Three other names you’ll recognize are Brian Adams,  John Cougar Melencamp, and Jackson Brown.  You will note the obvious similarity of style in lyric content.  By the way Johnny Cash made a statement that originally was mistranslated.  The first report was that he said “I know that Elvis was never that kind of a racist while he was still alive”, but what he actually said “I know that Elvis was never that kind of a racist while he was still around”.   Just to make an observation about myself (which admittedly id difficult to do)  There is no ‘social agenda” to any of my writings about the Federation and the Romulans and all of those.  I’m not concocting some “Bible story” that first has the POINT in mind and then tries to contort and cram charactors and plot lines in to try and properly “arrive at the point”, which I have determined in advance, no matter how unnatural or unbelievable
