This is January 20,
2016 and Hillary Clinton delivered a low blow against Bernie Sanders in last
Sunday’s debate. She said “Bernie is the
only one on this state that voted to loosen wall street regulations in the “Comodities
reform act” to allow investment swaps and all that Wall Street hanky panky, as
it were, taking the tops off of Wall Street”.
What she didn’t say was that 430 out of 435 congressmen voted for the
bill because it was the omnibus budget bill and you had to vote for that bill
to keep the government from shutting down.
But her husband, Bill Clinton signed that bill with those provisions and
Hillary was not even in the senate yet.
She neglected to tell new viewers that little detail. This guy who put the poison pill in the
budget bill worked for Goldman Sachs and was later hired on as an economic
consultant by the Obama administration and this same guy now works for the Hillary
Clinton campaign. Thom then read off a
whole list of issues were Hillary and Bernie part company including marijuana
legalization and the Iraq War. Hillary
wants to deport refugee children from Central America, Hillary supports the Patriot Act, she
supports bulk data collection by the NSA,
she says Snowden is a criminal and not a hero, and she supports hydraulic
fracturing. This is what you get with
Hillary. She also voted for the
bankruptsy ‘reform” act of 2005 or whatever.
Hillary’s deception doesn’t hurt
Bernie because his supporters are smart.
“Google Gary Gensler and find out he was eighteen years with Goldman
Sachs”, etcetra. It does make Hillary
look like a real jerk in the eyes of the general public, and Bernie supporters
will remember it.
Sarah Palin endorsed
Donald Trump’s candidacy for President.
This is a good thing for the Republicans because it vastly increases the
likelihood that the Republicans will avoid a brokered convention this
July. This is good for democrats because
it gives democrats two ready targets to attack in the campaign as both
laughable buffoons- - Donald Trump and Sarah Palin. It is said by pundits that Palin’s logical
move is to endorse Trump because neither is as conservative as their PR would
indicate. Trump has flirted with the
idea of liberalizing health care for instance, and Trump is pro China tariffs
and anti Trans Pacific Partnership (a topic that was never even raised in the
democratic debate) We are exactly one
year away from swearing in a new President next January. If Bernie is elected- -Thom Hartman believes
he will have longer coat tails to elect vitally needed members of Congress on
the democratic side. TH says “Obana
generated a popular progressive “wave” that Obama failed to cash in on. I see Bernie doing the same thing only he’ll
cash in on it”. Rush Limbaugh and other
Conservatives remind us of the Reagan revolution where Ronald Reagan cashed in
on the sleeping giant of a conservative tide in this country just looking for
an outlet of expression. Bernie is still continuing to surge in the polls over
Hillary- - like in New Hampshire. Rather than worry about these mythical centrists
or “undecided” that will be turned off by “Democratic socialism” one should be
concerned about the fact that internet savy people know what a hypocrite
Hillary is if you dig just a little in from the surface- - and lots of thinking
voters will have their enthusiasm dampened and “turned off” to some
degree. They may not vote- - or they may
be just a little less enthusiastic about getting others to support the ticket. There is a saying “For want of a nail the horse
was lost - - for want of a horse the battle was lost, and for want of a battle -
- the war was lost”. (Selah)
