N R A Convention Convenes in Houston

All of the usuals are speaking at the Convention of the National Rifle Association meeting this weekend in Houston, Texas.  These include Texas Governor Rick Perry, Sarah Palin - no doubt with more harrowing gun stories, and Gov Bobby Gendle.  Also speaking are newly elected Texas senator Ted Cruise, and Rick Santaurum, and the keynote speaker is allegedly Ted Nugent.  Nugent in an interview with that British guy claimed that "99,9% of gun owners were good, law abiding citizens."  I'd take strong issue as to whether 99.9% of guns have never been used in a questionable homocide.  They said they had a "nine acre gun show", where of course you can pick up any firearm you wish and not undergo any background check.  Of course the latest news is that those two senators, Mansion and Toomie,  will be re-introducing the gun background bill and there are increased hopes (recent poll numbers) that this time the thing will pass and that the President will sign the thing by the time the Senate goes on recess in August.  Of course yesterday there was the story about a five year old shooting his two year old sister.  He had been given the gun as a present by his parents.  It is a .22 and apparently they are marketed in bright kid's colors by an outside that markets expressly for kids.  Of course of you were to give your five year old a glass of Vodka to drink, you'd be arrested for child abuse, but that doesn't matter to anybody.  This whole gun topic has been raised anew to radio talk shows all over in the past couple of days.  Stephanie Miller reminded us in the closing moments of her show that once again the Tea Party has it wrong - again.  Not to play the NAZI card or anything, but it's the Wyman Republic that barred or severely restricted the private ownership of firearms by the German people.  Under the Nazis - - gun regulations were relaxed and the German people were again allowed freer access to private ownership of firearms, unless of course, if you were a Jew.  Pete Richards had that letter circulating around a few months ago- - that the reason why the Nazis came after the Jews is because they were socialist pigs and wanted the vast wealth of the Jewish community because they couldn't stand the idea of privately held wealth.  But even in this example the stereotype is played up that the Jews were the ones with all the wealth and this assertion alone is the farthest thing from the Truth.

The Unemployment rate has notched down to 7.5% - - which at this rate, will take forever to get back to anything at all resembling "normal" by standards of only five or six years ago.  But 165,000 new jobs were added last month, and there hve been reports of new unemployment claims dropping.  Also the jobs growth rates for February and March have been revised upward.  As you know it's been the cry of Rush Limbaugh that job figures would all be revised adversely after the Presidential election.  That didn't happen.  Instead virtually all of the jobs number revisions have been twords the more optimistic.  People like Mort Zuckerman has been clinging to the vain hope for months that this economy will turn worse- - any day now.  Long term real estate mortgages continue to remain at record low levels below three percent- - which is the lowest in over sixty years.  This fact alone must cause the doom and gloomsters untold consternation.

There was a guy bringing an AR 15 into the Houston airport - - apparently not connected with the NRA convention - - where this man fired two rounds into the ceiling and then turned the gun on himself.  Moe Kelly asks us whether this story might receive a whole lot more wide-spread coverage of this man had been of middle eastern descent and in Islamic vestment.  He'd be the "terrorist of the day" on all of the FOX and other network news.  There was a guy with turrets syndrone shouting the word "Bomb" repeatedly on an airplane and they were all over him escorting him off the plane.  Of course Ted Nugent would say and has said that "you people don't care about murders in general - - you're only concerned about murderers with guns".   And when he says "You people are Obsessed - - with guns" that word "obsessed" is a charged word.  It implies that we who are concerned about guns are somehow unbalanced or biased in our "concern" about guns.  When it comes to "mad men" that Ted Nugent wants us to 'go after", in so many cultures Ted Nugent would be considered a Mad Man.

Well there are roomers anew that President Obama is thinking about arming the Rebels against the Assad regeime.  The trouble with this President is that he "thinks" about a lot of things but ends up actually Doing very little.  We've been hearing "help is on the way in Syria" for the past two years, and it's sounding like a broken record.  Now this guy in Turkey personally knows of four specific sites of use of seran gas by Assad in the past two months and that he is in the process of compiling a video interviewing eye witnesses, and hopefully garnering physical evidence.  Meanwhile the latest chapter in the Boston marithon saga is that Johar has stated that their origiMinal target was some major gathering on the Fourth of July - in Boston, perhaps during a performance of the Boston Pops orchestra while fireworks were going off.  And since Rupert Murdoch now owns the Daily Mail (the newspaper referred to in "Paperback Writer") that that Newspaper has gone down hill fast.  There are reports that the Saudi Arabia government expressly warned the US about Tamerlin and his activities but the Obama state dept ignored the warnings.  Of course we don't want to talk about Condeliza Rice lying at her Senate Confirmation about all of the 9 - 11 warnings that were ignored.  Or that George Bush took out the whole computer system the Clinton Administration had just installed- - because Bush had hopes - at some future date- of installing a private company's warning system where he could garner some sort of personal profits.

Mike Meloy is concerned abut this lady Penny - - something who is a Hyatt Hotels heiress- - becoming the new secretary of Commerce.  The thing here is that this heiress appears to be "one of the good guys" because she donated 150,000 to the Obama campaign last year but did it secretly - - because if the news got out there would be all sorts of political pressures brought to bear.  Mike Meloy says any democrat ought to have his head examined for ever trusting this President about anything again, because Obama is no friend of Progressives.  Certainly the laundry list of this President's betrayal of his progressive base is long and growing longer every day.  Mike Meloy reminds us the President last month signed what he regards as "The Monsanto Chemical Protection Bill".  This is the bill we vaguely alluded to that protected geneticly modified grains and such from ANY scruteny of either the Courts or the FDA and that no health complications from genetically modified foods may ever be looked into by anybody.  You have to wonder what sort of political deal was struck between this President and whoever- - to guarentee such a Blank Check- - to Monsanto.  In economic grounds alone- this whole genetic grains thing is a disaster as farmers will tell you.  I question the constitutionality of anyone being able to "patent life".  Something is just a little creepy about that.  Something is more than a little creepy about the whole thing.  Judy says there are countless health problems encountered by the ingestion of genetically modified foods- - particularly with people with certain pre existant conditions.

Of course weather related stuff is in the news. You have these wind whipped fires here in Southern California in the Ventura County and Pt Magoo area- - and also in the Banning pass in Riverside County.  They say one fire is now ten thousand acres and is zero percent contained.  The networks claimed these flames were whipped up by fifty mile per hour winds.  That sounds like an exaguration.  Richard Moore yesterday was talking about this one big bush that was thrashing round and making wind noise- - but the wind wasn't blowing where we were and no other tree appeared to be moving hardly at all.  They said that humidity had dropped as low as two percent.  Meanwhile in Denver and in Minisota- - they have had snow blizzards- - and roofs have collapsed from "wet snow' in Minisota.  In Denver the temperature dropped forty degrees in a 24 hour period.  The day before yesterday was jogging in shorts weather.  Kansas City received their first snow in May- - perhaps ever.  We are reminded that tomorrow is "Mutters Day".  Certainly you've passed by and seen the mutter eating her fodder.  They are predicting a muddy track on Kentucky Derby day.  I suppose there is nothing from preventing them from holding the race if it's pouring down rain.  Certainly you need only to look at a weather map to see all of that moisture headed their way.

Just to engage in a little obligtory bit of silliness- - there is a lot of talk about the Russian alphabet, which I plan on taking the trouble to learn one of these days.  Apparently in this alphabet ever letter produces a specific sound and that when they translate into English you get all of these strange consinent combinations, such as the "zh" sound as in Brashinsky or Breshnev.  In that Sirius A alphabet- - the spelling of the younger terrorist brother is IOJAR taken from the Romulan "Jojar" because Romulans have an inconsistent pronounciation for the J letter.  So much of Sirius A writings appear to be translations of Romulan documents.  By the way in the Reigel areas - - they do use that "zh" sound for a "J" just like the French do.  It would seem that the Reigelian alphabet - - is analogus to Greek in ancient Palestine, since the native Dardanian alphabet is so esoteric and difficult to learn - - even for Dardanian citizens.  Also they do something smart in Sirius A - - perhaps out of a salute to Jaquard, the father of the IBM punch card.  Of course these punch cards originally were for looms.  I remember one time they had an unused loom at my grandparent's ranch house when I was a kid.  But when you do a key punch and blow a key and ruin a whole card- - the Sirius A people have an ingenious solution to that problem.  They use the back downward slash to mean "cancel that last letter".  And then when it comes to copying the card later- - the card reader - sorter is programmed to when it sees the downward back slash just to ignore that key and "eat" that collum number so it can be re-used by the Right letter.  Also they use the upside down T in their little "bits" which means "the following is numeric" even though you can SEE it's numeric- - and they also End a numeric with a "J", just like the semaphore people do.

In personal news - - Judy has once again spoken to the phone company about my high phone bill, and once again she says she was reassured the problem had been taken care of.  But she warned me to be sure and keep my bank account high just in case.  We won't be seeing my Mom for any birthday celebrations this weekend.  ("Why would your family want to celebrate Valerie Shoffner's birthday?)  Anyhow I specifically asked about.  Often we have a barbicue here in the courtyard for Cinco De Mayo.  And I do want to watch the Kentucky Derby even if I have no intension of betting on the race.  My brother has to work, and Judy still is not feeling well.  She hasn't gotten her energy back.  And my other brother "Wrecked his back while getting out of a car".  I need to talk with him about that.  Meanwhile around here Dennis has officially moved out.  I had no idea it'd be anytime that soon.   There are a lot of conversations I need to have with various people around here.  Anyhow- - have a happy Cinco De Mayo you people.

The Need to Lower Our Voices

The overall political and social environment has become too toxic in this country.  You have FOX news and all these far right congressmen talking about massive new repression measures against Moslems.  You have Lindsey Graham saying that “The FBI needs to up its game” and I’m not quite sure what that means.  One guy wants to racially profile every Moslem and bar any immigration of Moslems into this country, and also to ban the construction of new Mosques in America.  You have an Islamic woman near the Boston Marathon wearing some Islamic apparel like a hijab or something- and she was physically attacked.  Then you have a Samali taxi driver who was also Islamic, I guess.  He picked up a “patron” from a Virginia country club who was drunk and had a beer in his hand and was drinking from it.  When informed he couldn’t take the open beer into the cab the guy became abusive and physically accosted the driver, breaking his jaw.  Randy Rhodes has been highlighting this encounter this afternoon.  And then you have FOX news saying things like “There has been NO backlash against Moslems – and all we want the Obama administration to do is catch the people who did this thing”.  I guess he was addressing AG Holder.  And I thought that’s what we DID.   Moe Kelly is worried about the incendiary nature of today’s hip hop music.  I have heard from more than one source that it’s White people primarily who buy certain Rap music, because they love it when Black women are trashed.  Moe is expressing concern that today’s youths are not aware of the racial implications of certain events and ads they see on TV.  And Moe likens it to fire safety, which is logical right now considering coverage of a local brush fire has prevented me from watching Days of our Lives today.  But once you use the fire hose to put out the fire you then want to go and fire proof your house and make sure there no gasoline cans that are leaky- - and all your electrical wiring is up to snuff.  Of course for a Black man - - hearing the word “Negro” and “Fire hose” in the same sentence is troubling enough.  But the moral- - not to be too cute about it is – “If you don’t want to have to bring out the fire hose, make sure your building is fire safe- - not constructed with highly flamible materials.  In like manner perhaps I have my permissive attitude tword Rap music now because of my experience in the sixties where Jim Morrison got into trouble for singing “Girl we couldn’t get much higher” on the Ed Sullavin show.  What was he supposed to sing?  “Girl, we could sing in a choir” to make it rhyme with “Light my fire”?  My feeling has always been that sometimes you have “gallows humor” as a way of keeping your sanity during really bad times.  But perhaps the time has come when these black groups, in pursuit of a goal higher than themselves- - should cut out all the incendiary rhetoric against Blacks, women, Jews or what have you?  Of course the ADM or anti definition league, protects the rights not only of Jews, but also Moslems, gays, and any other group that is being defamed.  FOX news is so toxic to the cultural faboric- - in the old days the FCC would have stepped in to shut them down as working against the “peace of the community” ect.

Rush Limgaugh was casting around this morning from topic to topic unsure of which topic he wanted to get worked up about today.  It seems with this legalization of the “Plan B” morning after pill- - the big issue is that the Obama administration wanted to make the legal line at seventeen.  That would be the same as to get into an “R” rated movie.  It figures if you aren’t old to watch the stuff- - then you shouldn’t be free to take a drug that could mess up your body in unknown ways.  You have to be eighteen to buy a pack of cigarettes.  I too am concerned that there is an overall undermining of the family unit these days by government.  And if I were running for President I would make it clear that this is not my intent.  When you think about the whole race thing- - clearly we are just about as racist as we ever were.  There is a vast resavuar of hatred out there on the right fringe.  Thirty percent of the people polled say that they are expecting some sort of need for an “armed rebellion of the people” that’s coming soon.  I don’t know who is taking these polls, but I assume they aren’t just making them up to scare us.  Apparently in 1999 there was another such background gun bill on the table in the House, which the national rifle association favored, at that time.  The mystery to me is the reason why THAT bill did not pass - - THEN.  But there are so many “mentally unhealthy” beliefs these people have, as well as their glorification of ignorance, which shows up in other polls on their beliefs about Evolution.  I guess the greatest fear of Spencer Tracy in the “Inheret the Wind’ movie has been realized.  “We have evolved backward intellectually –into the primordial slime from which we first arose”.  (Selah)

Moe Kelly was on KTLK and his remark about the gay NBA player that “came out’ is well taken.  He is no Jackie Robinson.  Apparently he dated his fiancé for eight years and she never suspected he was gay.  This makes me think this whole “gay coming out’ thing with Hollywood celebreties is a little bogus to begin with.  Stephanie Miller dated men.  And Tammy Bruce almost married a cop but kept the engagement ring rather than give it back.  Maybe there is some kind of power trip issue with these people- - but I suspect very little of it has to do with a newly discovered sexual preference for the same sex.  Jackie Robinson on the other hand did not just wake up on day and “decided to be Black”.  He had to live with a real stigma and was called all sorts of nasty names day after day as enormous pressures were put upon him, perhaps even from his so called fans- - to make it easy on himself and go back to the Negro leagues.  Of course even if as Moe Kelly suggests- - that the NBA player stayed out nights late like three or four AM with no explanation- - assuming he was at a gay bar doing ten men per night with the amyl nitrate stuff they use- - is a really bad stereotype.  There are any number of explanations why I lover might not tell his fiancée everything about how he spends his time.  I thinking, “If it was really eight years they were having normal sex and everything and she never even suspected, then whatever gay proclivity he might have had- - must have been fleeting at best.  It’s like Bob Dylan saying he’s a Born Again Christian.  It’s a good marketing tool to boost his record sales among now Born Again Christians, who used to be fans of his.  And Dylan knew they would be fans again- if only he came out as Christian.  Hence the first Born Again album he did was his Grammy award “come back album”.  Of course now gonorrhea - - has new incurable strains.  It seems half of women report no symptums and five percent of men don’t even seem to have the painful urination problem.  Moe Kelly mentions that there is more money to be made on a disease in “treating’ a disease condition- - rather than actually curing it.  Think about it.

 

Back in May of 1982 I was told - or read- - that the sounds of a whole symphony orchestra playing Beethoven's Fifth or something - - could be accurately be reproduced using entirely nothing but sine waves. The physical model here is that when Astrology or some prognosticative pursuit- - that you have wave overlaid against wave, and gradually you begin to evolve into ever more complex patterns.  If you were confused by that previous posting - - - about how Time and Destiny can be intertwined- - look at it this way.  The word "Destiny" in its generic sense is "where are you going".  Where is the road you are on Bound for.  And with Time there is no getting off the Road, and there is no bending or otherwise altering the course of the road.  The road's course was pre set when the road was constructed.  We know that with probabilities - - numbers of sample are "the great equalizer".  When karma or fate - - Time itself is the ultimate task master.  One could argue (having read that posting is helpful here) that the reason Christians seem to be almost obsessed with "The end of Time" is that they are Afraid of it.  And they are Afraid of time because they know eventually it will enact its Penalty on them in due course.  I have often said that History itself will not be at all kind to this tea party generation.  We will look back in horror on these racist and reactionary and ignorant times in the same way people now look back on the KKK activities of the twenties, or what have you.   In these times it seems a whole lot harder to Sell - - Sanity, than it is to Peddle Insanity.  People's lust for the lowest common denominator seems to know no end.  One guy on the radio now says our problem is that "The political system of this country has been hacked".  He goes on to explain "You know when a computer system gets hacked it goes out and does things the Owner doesn't want it to do".  Al Gore said this, and we need more sane voices like Al Gore.  Dr. Levy's greatest mistakes is in trashing Al Gore.  We almost had him for president and we'd have a whole lot saner country if he had been.

"It It Weren't For Time I'd Never - - " "You'd Never WHAT?"

It struck me that what Religion is in terms of "underlying themes" is to somehow escape Time itself.  There is a desire to escape inevitability and finiteness of pleasures, as well as the rightful consequences of our own actions.  But Gospel writers and the like have the desire to escape Time for another reason.  Because too often they speak of some Event they are portraying as "A picture of how God is" but often they will interperate events of the Past in the light and shadow of future events that haven't even happened yet.  It could be likened to a diary that your little brother broke into and all the loose pages spewed on to the rug and you scoop them all up as best you can and put them back in the box.  But the person reading his own diary sees that it's been messed up.  And all too often this "messed up chronology" where effect does not follow cause but is somehow distorted into what I call a "Mericals matrix".  But then some bright researcher comes along and unscrambles the thing and corrects the mistranslations and isolates the "textural glosses" and puts the thing in its proper historic light.  But don't you know the writers of the Gospels are not after "History" but something all together more propagandistic.  But religion or the propaganda thereof- - is by its very nature antagonistic to the idea of some historic Time-line chart like a Police Dept might use to investigate or therorize how a crime was comitted.  One person who "denied the Resurrection" stated "You cannot - - I dare you - - you cannot construct a flow time-line of events that occurred in the morning when Jesus Christ was said to be resurrected" and may have offered a little money as taunting incentive.  It's funny how all these people who offer a million dollars is someone can discover or prove this or that - - but in these cases there never seems to be any takers.  There is a Grace Slick song on the album "Dreams" where some Divinity is quoted as saying "If it weren't for Time - - I'd never be defeated".  Because time has its way of Sorting out all things.  Time is the friend of the Evolution process.  Religion is the enemy of belief in Evolution.  Many people would like to freeze time and their own emotions at the extacy heights of some Born Again Prayer Meeting- - and countless lovers out there would love to make the moment of their first coming together- - Last Forever.  But it doesn't.  In the Garden of Eden story the whole human need for "Growth" or "Character Development' seems to be an entirely superfelus question to even pose.  Supposedly we are to assume these two people in that garden - Adam and Eve were in this state of perfect happiness where Time itself seems to stand still.  And the first person who realized that Time did NOT stand still - - was Satan, and he used this bit of knowledge to his own advantage.  (Selah)

We have used the term as of late The AXIS to mean some sort of Moral Enforcer or Karma or what have you.  An inherent Limiter and over-reaching control device, on all human and ETI affairs.  According to what I'll call the Neil Asphenol doctrine - - - (pssst - - Apple Record's Accountant)  This AXIS is what "The Universe revolves around".  One might say that all of Creation is "alligned in comformity with this Axis".  We have also spoken of an Axis in the Sketch program as being a dimension reference point.  We have also spoken of the idea that each Time Axis has its own specific laws of Cause and Effect and there is an inherent incompatability between the Axes.  I guess one might inquire whether there is any actual Causal connection between this Axis being an "enforcer of karma and morality" or just an axis of straight line Time.  Does Time itself inherently carry a moral componet.  We know that words like Cause and Effect are morally charged words and that it's important to get the causes and effects in the right order.  We have also spoken of the idea of the two sided pancake.  It was in March 2010 I believe, that I came up with the saying "It has been said that any pancake no matter how thin - - has two sides to it".  This is true and each side is different and unique to itself.  You'll get no argument here.  But that there are certain kinds of statements which Inherently won't admit to this sort of three dimensional Logic.  For instance equations in math and geometry- - are often inherently two dimensional arguments in nature.  That is- - they are based entirely on Theory and not the way things Actually Are in this Material Universe.  Because any actual quantifiable Event in this Universe has - - Three Dimensions.  By saying "this argument does not merit three dimensional thinking' is to say that the Statement is so DEVOID of any substance or Reality- - - there IS no substance, hence there IS no third dimension.  In a two dimensional argument you move to the other side of the glass- - and the argument looks exactly the same- - except in reverse, of course.   Any argument has its converse and inverse arguments.  The word Inverse is more appropriate here.   For certain moral Absolutes there IS no "Other Side".  There is only the singular Truth.  Trying to find substance in an argument that is devoid of any - - is the source of a lot of needless pain.  It's reducable to a doctrine of "You can't deal with what isn't there".  Perhaps this is what they refer to as "logical positivism" but I'm by no means sure of that one.  I find no "other side of the coin" in Tea Party logic.  There simply IS no way you can twist reality enough to say we'd have been better off with Mitt Romney as President.  Almost any other alternative- - no matter how distasteful - - is preferable to Mitt Romney becomming President.  You see with our side people don't believe Barock Obama is Perfect.  But we think we have to "take what we can get".  But with the other side- -Mitt Romney is the living embodiment of Perfection.  And if you talked to these people during the campaign, there is not One Thing about Mitt Romney that they would change.  Many people say if it weren't for Time they'd be fine.  No doubt this is the moment they just announced the Lottery numbers and perhaps they actually won a few thousand.  (Before the tax people get it)  For others- - one might say -as Spock did in one StarTrek episode - - "Obviously the man is incapable of three dimensional thinking".  But as to whether there is something Inherent in the very Nature of Time that is an Enforcer of Morality- - I don't know.  So far I haven't constructed any physical model or example to illustrate this phenominon.  But perhaps I will- - in not that long of a time, either.

Karma, or that other Hindu term Dharma (or destiny) is something you can't run away from - - either in Time or in Space.  Keep in mind that your fate and your deeds alike can be said to be "hard wired into your overall destiny".  There is a doctrine of course since Karma, or to be technical, Dharma - is Inescapable- - - then it may be deemed as transcendant and absolute.  And being Absolute therefore can't be questions just as the Justice of it's "rewards" be they good or adverse- - may not be questioned.  This doesn't have to be "Fair".  Someone with a bad destiny is in the influence of something that cannot be "overcome" by will, sheer grit, moral resolve, or endless repentance.  And it can certainly not be overcome with compliance or humility.  If President Obama is destined to be a Loser- - than a Loser he shall be.  I guess he has a choice.  He can be called an "angry Black man" or a "Nigger out of control" or what have you, if he acts too proactively or decisively.  Or he can be judged by History is some sort of a spineless whoos who will sell out his Principles at the drop of a hat, and Still Fail.  (Selah)  I have my own suggestions as to what he should do at this point, but I don't have his ear and he's going to make the mistakes anyhow.

Right now I would suggest to Most Readers that they jump right to the Final Paragraph, because they'll find it a whole lot more relevent as something they can learn a lesson from.  This paragraph really doesn't belong in this posting but I don't know where exactly else to put it.  It's a follow up on an advanced theory of "ideal karmic progress", and we know what is "ideal" most times does not go as planned.  This covers a topic we've given the foundation and background of previously - - as an ideal state of Progress based strictly based on mathematical and geometric formulas not discussed here, and if you're a new reader you'd have a great deal of difficulty picking up on what I'm talking about.  Now we proceed.  It has come to my attention that some of you are wondering just what I meant when I spoke of an "off Axis cosmic existence  or one might say "An abnormally closed hyperbola".  This would be where the two fundamental "axes" of your life progress graph were alligned at angles other than ninety degrees.  For the benefit of the few new people reading it's a basic structural conflict in your - - present physical incarnation where you are in definite danger of slipping out of your present physical existence and life into that of another.  (See - I told you you wouldn't understand)  Expressed in a time and progress graph this would have the unusual trait of - - "being in two places at the same time" if for instance a line turned so abruptly up (positive) that it doubled back on itself a little.  We spoke as such off axis relations as "being cosmically unstable in the Universe or localle in which you reside".  This "gap" on continuity of progress or existence  - if an Illustration of HOW such a state could come to arise in one's life.  It does not per se prove THAT one actually Has said dual existance.  One might envision it as - - - there is some Famous person out there- - whose achievements are somehow something You come to "own" just as you own your Own.  One might call it - - like a railroad car wheel or a closet door runner- - not securely in the grove.  This is one application of the "closing parabola sidrone".   One could just as easily say that one's "life was headed in a downward (declining) direction and then just "turned around".  This too is possible, and indeed probable were there, for instance, bad karma in your immediate past life that had reached its "call date" at they would say in stock exchange terms.  We have also stated using all three aspects of the hyperbolic trig curve - - shown how a seemingly disasterous and ill-fated "decline" or "reversal of life" can have in this very symptum the "seeds of greatness".  The Dao Te Ching teaches the concept of the polar opposite circles being "contained' by their opposites.  But were one's cosmic time-progress hyperbola bend so profoundly as to revert to a circle (caused by excessive axis inclination) it would be said that one would take on the Destiny of whatever it had encircled.  This is one of those cosmic laws you should ask your local eastern guru about.

The idea that there are TEXTUAL ADDITIONS in the Gospel records can be easily illustrated from the following example.  It is written "If a brother sins, rebuke him of it and if he repents you have won him back.  If he sins again - - take two or three other brothers with you and do the same thing.  If still he does not mend his sinful ways- - haul him before the entire congragation and rebuke him before all.  If still he will not mend his ways - - - then "Ye shall treat him as you would a sinner or a tax collecter".  What is apparent here is that Jesus Christ hung out with - - "sinners and tax collecters' and was criticized much for it.  Also in our story how many chances is the guy given before he's "dis-fellowshipped"?  You answer "Three".  Well, when Jesus was asked how often you must forgive a brother who sins Jesus responded "Not seven - - but seven times seventy", which would be a minimum of 490 times.  By that bar standard- this "brothers' tale falls far short.

President Obama Approves Abortion Pill for Over the Counter Sales

Rush Limbaugh after ten was talking about this new “Plan B” morning after pill that is now de-regulated so that fifteen year old girls can get it over the counter without their parents’ knowledge or permission.  Rush and the Republicans are understandably upset about this executive order, apparently, by the Obama administration.  It seems like government encroachment into the private relation between parents and their minor children.  Of course I hve heard these drugs aren’t exactly safe and do all sorts of things to mess up your body.  Of course Rush Limbaugh will make anything political and say it’s just another in the “feminist agenda’ the Obama administration is a slave to, and just another way to garner female votes.  I’m really not sure whether women as a whole will look fondly on such family encroachment.

That Mark Sanford guy is back again.  He was the congressman or whatever from South Carolina who was mysteriously gone for a week or so and claims he was “Hiking the Apolation Trail” when in truth he was in Argentina visiting his exotic lover there.  They published all of the love-letters exchanged between the two of them.  From the content of these it seems like an almost endless game of cat and mouse.  But now the people of South Carolina don’t care about any of that.  Divorce or the lack of it, is not high on political considerations of the far right.  But now we are told that “Elizabeth Cobert” is being “funded by a lot of outside money”.  That’s funny because nobody minded when Mitt Romney was burying Newt Gingrich with a massive influx of money.  But now suddenly it’s wrong.  And according to Rush “The people of South Carolina resent others telling us our business”.    Rush then went on to express at least anxiety about whether the US House will go democratic next time around that that “We could end up with a one party system in this country”.  It’s one party now- and it is the Republican party because they literally run everything now.  President Obama is indeed a four year lame duck President and I dare say is the most impotent leader since Andrew Johnson.  It seems as if 42% of the people of this country think Obama Care has already been repealed or never went into place to begin with.  Many people believe the Affordable Care Act was overturned by the Supreme Court, or in some other way.  Fifty percent of the US population would either like to abolish Obama Care or else radically change it.  I guess in a straight break-down of pro and con only 35% of the people support it- - and at least forty percent are dead set against Obamacare.  It takes little imagination to see how these facts could be adverse for House democrats next year.

We do have some fresh news on those two bombers.  Johar Zarniaff - - has these three friends - - Kate and Philipe and- - some weird name like Fez or something.  Anyhow these three came over to his fraternity dorm at the college and his roommate let them in.  Apparently the three of them settled down and smoked pot and watched a VCR movie.  But they conthiscated some incrimidating evidence from Zarniaff - - such as fireworks with the explosive powder removed from them- - as well as the whole back pack that Tameron had been walking around with - - and other computer stuff and they were going to stuff it all in a black trash bag and get rid of it somewhere so the cops wouldn’t find it.  Someone said that is NOT illegal for a party or parties to know a specific crime will be committed and so nothing to stop it.  On the other end of the exchange- - it seems there are various Moslem friends that Tameron met in Dagistan when he traveled there in 2012 involving a really nice looking Mosque and also some disgrunteled boxer like himself from Canada that “turned radical” the same time Tameron did.  They now say that Tameron received some specialized foreign help as to just how to construct these tombs.  Meanwhile Senators such as Lindsey Graham say that “Obviously the FBI has fallen down on the job by failing to nab Tameron, and from now on they need to – up their game”.  I’m not sure what they mean by that but apparently the FBI has been too passive in not pressing suspects or harassing them relentlessly enough over periods of months.  Many innocent Americans would disagree with that, but this is what Lindsey Graham alleges.  To the tea party it’s “Whatever we can use to make this President look bad”.  Basically he’s already a political corpse.  It’s pretty much impossible to make him “look” any worse than he already looks.  (Selah)

Here is a little comic relief.  Paul Ryan has reversed his position of adoption of children by gay parents.  For Paul Ryan, adoption of children by same sex parents is A OK now, but he’s still against the idea of gay couples getting married.  He’s all for committing yourselves to an impressionable child, but he doesn’t trust those same two people to commit themselves to each other.  I guess I find this whole idea of the tea party “going gay” as just a little too ironic.  You wonder what will be next.  You have people who at once embrace radical left issues AND radical right issues.  The gay population is only around three percent (Christians say it may even be less than that) and yet you have the Republicans piling on to secure some of that three percent voting constituency.  Personally I don’t even think the tea party is that hard up.

They are talking about putting eyes in Robots with the structure of fly eyes to give them a broad panorama of view.  My understanding of how fly eyes work is their lenses do not focus to a point but rather that their compound eyes give a pixilated panorama of the world.  Of course in a sense any device with RADAR can “see”.  Today’s cars are so sophisticated that now these complex features are included as standard in some models.  They can detect swerving out of a lane and warn the driver without any sensors in the road itself, which for a long time people thought was necessary.  They can see if they are getting too close to a car in front of them or if something else comes into their path.  Apparently the safety record of these automated cars is so phenomenal the only time there is ever an accident in one, is if the human driver manually overrides the controls and tried to extricate himself from the problem.  People have stated that if all of the highways were filled with these automated “predictable” cars, the world would be any safer because the unpredictability factor would be vastly reduced.  Of course I’m not sure how the insurance industry would like it if - - people didn’t even own their own cars.  Because if you didn’t own them and weren’t responsible, then you would never be sued, hence you would never need liability insurance.  This “brave new world’ may be here sooner than we think.

I was out listening to Dennis and Keith talk, swapping horror stories around here.  The staff doesn’t like Dennis, and I’m not sure why except it’s their own guilt that is the problem.  Let me explain.  Dennis likes to do favors for people to earn small change, such as to wash their car.  But then they act snobbish tword him and aren’t grateful to him and won’t even say thank you.  And Dennis complains often he’s worked hard on hot days and not offered a lemonade or anything.  Dennis said today that this is the worse place he’s been in in terms of “personal care”.  It seems when some woman like Roselyn falls - - the staff asks the residents to pick them up at three o clock in the morning.  Of course Marsha had that slip and fall on a wet floor and broke six bones.  That was a year ago and she is still in pain and needs more surgery.  There was a stretcher in the lobby getting ready to pick somebody up as I left here.  Jay finally made that trip to the hospital and has been gone the last several meals.  This morning I used the red shampoo and I noticed that Nora or somebody had watered it about three to one so it was a much thinner consistency.   It just dawned on me that you can’t really use the under-score key on the computer as intended without going into strikeover mode, and I forgot how to do that.  You can’t back up and keep typing.  Of course I feel kind of guilty hearing about the woes of others knowing I lack the fortitude just to quit smoking, which would instantly solve my money problems.  Dennis says is the lymphoma doesn’t do him in than the Dilaudid will because that stuff wrecks your stomach.  He says that Janet’s coffee makes him sick to his stomach.  Meanwhile Vince, [blank's] husband, is under-going dialysis and he may not have a bright future without a kidney transplant.  All of these times when Dennis gets into one of these lectures, I often remain silent, for the simple reason that I have absolutely nothing constructive to contribute further.  Dennis has just about said it all.  His story is obviously not My story.  Chalk it up to “The ways of the Lord are mysterious” or something.  Dennis is a living embodiment of the expression of “You can’t keep a good man down” because he’s beaten all the odds as far as his medical prognosis as a cancer survivor.
