Those Sabotaging and Dictatorial Neo Cons

There was an ethics bill that congressed was about to pass to change the name of the ethics committee to the “complaints” committee, but Donald Trump played the good guy for once and got congress to pull back on this controversial plan.  Trump says he’s going to step in like this in the future if congress does something he doesn’t like.  There is no word yet on the all important filibuster rule.  If the Senate scraps that one we’re all toast anyhow because everything under the sun will get passed and signed by President Trump.  Mc Connell has said he’ll keep the filibuster rule.  We democrats better hope and pray that’s true.  It’s smart to make my blog posts shorter because Google only searched through so many words before it stops counting and if you have some golden gems further down in the text they won’t count for anything so won’t go to boost your ratings.

There apparently is an article in the New York Times which states that H R Halderman in October of 1968 had in his personal notes to Nixon an urging to put a monkey wrench into the Paris Peace talks to end the Viet Nam War.  This is the “smoking gun” and the most explicit evidence I’ve heard of.  As you know Thom Hartman has played that tape between Lyndon Johnson and Everett Dirkson where Johnson calls this deal sabotage as “treason” and Dirkson says, “I know”.   But I remember way back when that Dad told me that Humphrey was thinking of lodging this charge of Peace talk sabotage.  So Thom’s whole theory now is that basically in the last sixty years- - there has only been one legitimately elected President of the United States and that would be George Bush Sr. in 1988 over Dukakis.  Of course you don’t need to go very far to find a case of sabotaging an election.  There were some 65,000 or whatever Black people in Wayne County, Michigan whose ballots were invalidated.  But the people never knew their ballots were invalidated till the day they went to vote.  Thom says “The Republicans certainly going to contact you by mail and warn you that your voter registration is in question”.  No.  They want you to go down there and it’s too late and you can’t do anything about it.  Of course Trump only carried Michigan by ten thousand votes so you can clearly see this area is another where those electoral votes were flipped from blue to red.   Michigan and Governor Snyder of course are famous for dictating to the cities how to conduct their government.  Now there is the whole plastic bags contraversy.  Localities vote to ban plastic bags and Governor Snyder steps in and says “We’re not going to allow you to do that”.  And of course Thom talks about how President Boni Sadir in Iran ran and was elected on a platform of freeing the 52 American hostages but according to President Sadir,  The Ayatola and William Casey and the Reagan campaign scuttled that.   This was the initial phase of the Iran Contra scandal.

Thom Hartman says that the asteroid that hit earth and killed off the dinosaurs 65 million years ago isn’t even the biggest disaster to hit earth in terms of extinctions.  He said there was a perma-frost disaster caused by an underground volcano and lava that melted the perma-frost 250 million years ago killed off 95% of all life forms on the planet.  Of course some disasters were caused by cold.  There was a flash freeze disaster that occurred about 11,000 BC that Ted Armstrong has referred to that killed off wildlife in Syberia and Alaska.  Some people say the Bible itself makes reference to this pre Noah disaster in one of the epistles of Peter.  Some people believe the Great Pyramid may be as old at 13,000 BC or whenever the vernal equinox occurred when the sun was in-between Leo and Virgo.  What’s important to remember about today is that we have to ask ourselves two fundamental questions.  Is this global warming we are experience we are having now real, or only in our minds.  Some Republicans say it’s all in our heads.  It isn’t really happening.  The other big question to answer is “Is this global warming man made or just a part of the natural climactic rhythms.   We can’t save the dinosaurs but the question now to answer that even if there is some cyclic pattern to our climate patterns, we as stewards of the planet need to do everything we can not to make the problem worse.

Bill and Hillary Clinton have been invited to Donald Trump’s inauguration.  This seems like a really strange thing to me.  It’s almost like he’s saying “Let’s forget about all that stuff that was said during the campaign, we all know we’re still friends.  Of course George W and Laura Bush will be attending the inauguration.  My guess is that Jimmy Carter won’t be attending.  In other news they have discovered a new organ of the body that Leonardo Di Vinci discovered but later scientists dismissed.  But now they have looked at the research further and it’s some body of tissue that connects the stomach with the small intestine.  And of course Megan Kelly is leaving FOX news for a show on NBC that they want to make sure doesn’t conflict with Sunday Night football.  (?)  Megan Kelly’s leaving FOX is no secret and it’s been common knowledge for weeks now.  It would be funny is Kelly turned into a liberal after all.  The question was raised on the Gary and Shannon show as to who was the last person to leave KFI.  It seems as if they hang on to their hosts forever.  They hung on to Rush Limbaugh for an awful long time.  And Bill Handel and John and Ken are turning into antique relics they’ve been around for so long.

President-elect Donald Trump took aim at the U.S. auto industry Tuesday as he continued an intervention into corporate America that aims to bolster job growth but is also vulnerable to exaggerations and oversimplifications.  On Twitter on Tuesday morning, Trump singled out General Motors for assembling some of its Chevrolet Cruze models in Mexico and selling them in the United States, reiterating his threat to impose punitive tariffs on imports. Shortly afterward, Trump celebrated an announcement by Ford that it was cancelling a $1.6 billion factory in Mexico and using some of the money to expand production in Michigan.  “Instead of driving jobs and wealth away, AMERICA will become the world's great magnet for INNOVATION & JOB CREATION,” Trump tweeted.  "The automotive industry has always been a symbol for the status and health of manufacturing as a whole in the U.S.,” said Jeremy Acevedo, a senior analyst for Edmunds.com. “If Trump can demonstrate that he influenced a company like Ford or GM to make a business decision in support of his 'pro-growth' strategy, his likely hope is that it could have a domino effect to pressure other companies and industries to follow suit.”  But the business decisions that Trump has criticized and the deals he has trumpeted are not so straightforward. After his election win, Trump celebrated a deal to save jobs at a furnace factory in Indiana but inflated the number of jobs preserved. He later claimed credit for a big Japanese investment in the U.S. economy that was in the offing well before his election.
